How to create WinRAR MSI distribution package

This example shows how to repackage WinRAR exe installer to MSI package.

1. Start the Exe to msi Converter and click 'New MSI Package' in the Toolbar. The Project Wizard is started.

2. Selct the WinRar .exe installer file. Click Next.

   

3. Choose the Repckage conversion method.

   

4. Before process to the next step is is recommended to close all other programs and antivirus software. The best Practices is run the repackager on the virtual machine. Clck Start monitoring.

   

5. During repackaging the winrar setup file will be started. Complete the installation process, and close the Project wizard.

   

6. The New project appears in the Projects tree.

   

7. Review the project and adjust the files and registry items if needed.

   

8. Now you can build the project.

   

9. The Build Dialog opened. Adjust the build settings and click 'Build' button.

   

10. The WinRar MSI package is created and ready to deploy.
